STARBUCKS STORE MANAGER

Location: High Level, Alberta

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Store Manager to lead our Starbucks team in High Level, Alberta. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of store operations, developing and coaching team members, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and achieving financial and operational objectives.

This position is ideal for a strong leader with proven management experience in a fast-paced retail, hospitality, or food service environment. Direct Starbucks experience is strongly preferred; however, candidates with exceptional leadership and operational management backgrounds will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of supervisors and baristas to deliver outstanding customer service and operational excellence.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance work environment focused on teamwork, accountability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage all day-to-day store operations, including staffing, scheduling, inventory control, cash management, and customer service.
  • Ensure compliance with Starbucks operational standards, food safety regulations, health and safety requirements, and company policies.
  • Utilize Starbucks Connect systems to manage sales reporting, inventory, labour scheduling, operational metrics, and overall store performance.
  • Recruit, interview, onboard, train, and mentor employees to support individual growth and long-term retention.
  • Monitor labour costs, inventory levels, product waste, and other key performance indicators to maximize profitability.
  • Analyze sales trends and implement strategies to drive revenue growth, improve operational efficiency, and enhance the customer experience.
  • Address customer concerns professionally and effectively while upholding Starbucks’ commitment to service excellence.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment at all times.
  • Collaborate with ownership and senior management on business initiatives, marketing programs, community engagement activities, and operational improvements.
  • Report directly to ownership and senior management, providing weekly sales and operational reports and promptly communicating any significant matters affecting store performance, staffing, customer service, compliance, or profitability.

Qualifications

  • Minimum three years of management experience in retail, hospitality, quick-service restaurant, or food service operations.
  • Direct Starbucks management experience is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in leading, coaching, and developing teams.
  • Strong understanding of labour management, scheduling, inventory control, and financial performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high operational standards.
  • Food Safety Certification is considered an asset.
