Tri-Tech Pinnacle Group Inc. is one of Canada’s leading roof and building envelope consultants with over 30 years experience and offices in Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver, & Halifax. Our team consists of registered roof observers, building science specialists, certified thermographers, and professionally trained inspectors. Tri-Tech Pinnacle Group is currently seeking a Roof and Building Envelope Inspector located in Nova Scotia to assist our existing team providing inspection services on our projects located in the maritime provinces and Newfoundland and Labrador. The successful candidate will be responsible for travelling to multiple project locations to perform quality assurance inspections and roof assessments. This role requires some knowledge of roofing and building envelope construction and materials, the ability to review and understand construction specifications and the ability to prepare on site quality assurance reports for the inspections performed. The company will provide any additional training needed to fulfill the requirements of the job.

Responsibilities Include:

· Review and understand the project specification documents to ensure compliance throughout the construction process.

· Perform site inspections on installation or replacement of various commercial roofing systems including but not limited to EPDM, SBS, TPO, PVC, and BUR.

· Attend site meetings for pre-tender, pre-start and client progress updates as required.

· Prepare progress site reports with photographs and written field notes for each visit using in-house software.

· Address any onsite problems as they arise with contractors and clients.

· Assess the current roof condition, perform core cuts on various roofing systems to determine assembly composition, and provide information for roof condition reports.

· Assist with infrared scanning and scan verifications for preparation of client reports.

Skills and Qualifications:

· Must have 2-3 years of experience with flat roofing/construction.

· Willing to work towards a Registered Roof Observer designation paid for by the company.

· Willing to complete both online and onsite training provided and paid for by the company.

· Comfortable with climbing ladders and working at heights while following safety protocols.

· Team player with excellent time management skills

· Reliable, good work ethic and great attitude

· Willing to travel regularly to all maritime provinces and Newfoundland and Labrador.

· Valid driver’s license with excellent driving record and reliable vehicle

· Excellent English verbal and written communication skills

· Strong proficiency with MS office

Assets:

· Diploma/Degree in Building Construction, Engineering or Design.

Hours of Work:

· Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm

· Some travel will require overnight stays outside of the usual work area.

· Occasional weekend work and after-hours work as needed during peak summer season.
