Gemini Packaging Ltd. is looking for Logistics Coordinator in Richmond, BC, the role blends general supply chain coordination with the specialized demands of a private label chemical and liquid manufacturer.

Gemini Packaging produces high-volume liquid items (such as household cleaners, personal care products, and industrial chemicals) and ships to major North American retailers like Sobeys, Loblaws, and London Drugs, the role heavily emphasizes bulk raw material inbound transit, warehouse inventory control, and retail compliance.

Minimum 4 year experience and CCLP certification by CITT is an asset.

Outbound Shipment Coordination

  • Arranging freight carriers: Organizing domestic and cross-border transport (truckload and LTL) for moving finished liquid goods across North America.
  • Managing bulk material delivery: Coordinating timelines for inbound chemicals, raw ingredients, and packaging materials (bottles, caps, boxes) to keep the Richmond plant's production lines running efficiently.
  • Retailer routing compliance: Following specific vendor routing guides and delivery windows required by major grocery and wholesale clients (e.g., Loblaws, Sobeys, Metro).
  • Tracking freight: Monitoring shipment progress and troubleshooting delays to prevent line shutdowns or retail distribution chargebacks.

Inventory, Warehouse & Plant Support

  • Inventory management: Overseeing stock levels of raw materials and finished products, working tightly with the local Shipper/Receiver and Forklift teams.
  • Production scheduling alignment: Collaborating with the Plant Manager and Production Line Supervisors to ensure materials are staged and available for daily batch-making schedules.
  • Space optimization: Tracking physical warehouse capacity in the Richmond facility to handle high-volume product runs.

Documentation & Chemical Compliance

  • Creating shipping paperwork: Issuing Bills of Lading (BOLs), customs invoices for US trade, picking sheets, and pallet labels.
  • TDG compliance: Ensuring all documentation for hazardous materials or commercial cleaning solutions aligns with Transport Canada's Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations.
  • Customs liaison: Coordinating with customs brokers for smooth cross-border clearing of raw chemical imports and outbound US exports. [

Vendor & Team Communication

  • Carrier negotiation: Building relationships with transport providers to secure competitive shipping rates and reliable equipment.
  • Internal communication: Serving as the logistical link between the Sales team, the laboratory, and warehouse staff to fulfill client orders accurately

Pay: $60,000.00 per year
