About the Role

Jordans is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Account Manager to join our growing commercial flooring team. This role is ideal for a professional with extensive flooring industry experience who understands the complexities of managing large-scale projects from bid through completion.

As a key member of our Commercial Division, you will be responsible for developing client relationships, overseeing major flooring contracts, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

This position requires a strong background in commercial flooring, proven success managing large jobs, and the ability to serve as a trusted advisor to clients, contractors, architects, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, property developers, architects, designers, and end users.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the commercial flooring market.
  • Manage large-scale flooring projects from pre-construction through project closeout.
  • Review plans, specifications, and bid documents to develop accurate project scopes and proposals.
  • Coordinate with estimating, project management, operations, and installation teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, material procurement, and labor requirements.
  • Conduct regular client meetings and job site visits to ensure customer satisfaction and address issues proactively.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and project changes while protecting company profitability.
  • Track project progress and maintain accurate documentation, forecasts, and reporting.
  • Resolve project challenges efficiently while maintaining positive client relationships.
  • Stay current on flooring products, installation methods, industry trends, and market conditions.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in the commercial flooring industry.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large, complex flooring projects with significant contract values.
  • Strong understanding of flooring products, including carpet, resilient flooring, hardwood, tile, and specialty flooring systems.
  • Experience working with general contractors, subcontractors, architects, and property owners.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of project scheduling, budgeting, estimating, and contract administration.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with healthcare, education, hospitality, multifamily, or large commercial construction projects.
  • Knowledge of blueprint reading, specifications, and construction documentation.
  • Existing relationships within the local construction and flooring community.
  • Understanding of flooring installation standards and industry best practices.
