Full job description

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Schedule: Monday to Friday

Century Interiors is an established commercial drywall contractor in Calgary. We are looking for an experienced, multi-skilled tradesman to join our team and independently handle commercial service work, small projects, repairs, and deficiencies.

This is a hands-on position for someone who is highly capable in several aspects of commercial interior construction.

The successful candidate will be provided with a company truck and will be responsible for completing assigned work efficiently, professionally, and with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Perform steel stud framing, layout, and modifications.
  • Install drywall, including repairs, patching, and finishing.
  • Install and repair suspended T-bar acoustical ceilings and ceiling tiles.
  • Complete drywall taping, mudding, sanding, and finishing.
  • Handle commercial service calls, deficiencies, and small renovation projects.
  • Complete finishing work and deficiencies on larger commercial projects.
  • Read drawings and follow project specifications.
  • Identify material requirements and coordinate supplies.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed.
  • Communicate professionally with site supervisors, customers, and management.
  • Maintain company tools, equipment, and assigned vehicle.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of commercial drywall and interior systems experience preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of steel stud framing and drywall installation.
  • Experience installing suspended T-bar acoustical ceiling systems.
  • Drywall taping and finishing experience is required.
  • Ability to perform multiple trades independently without constant supervision.
  • Experience with commercial tenant improvements, renovations, and service work.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and complete jobs efficiently.
  • Valid driver's licence with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Reliable, organized, and able to manage daily tasks independently.
