Nursing Scheduling Clerk

Your Opportunity!

Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the Nursing Scheduling Clerk is responsible for maintaining staff scheduling and coverage, managing timekeeping and payroll, and communicating scheduling changes with leadership while ensuring compliance with Long-Term Care legislation, collective agreements and labour laws.

Key Responsibilities and Skills:

· Receives and processes requests for vacancy coverage,

· Allocates and calls in relief staff to fill vacancies,

· Works closely with other departments to identify staffing gaps

· Maintains records of staff - names, addresses, phone numbers, availability for work,

· Oversees staffing systems - current schedules, orientation schedules, casual rosters, seniority lists,

· Regulatory compliance with LTC regulations, collective agreements

· Respectful communication with staff and leadership

· Maintaining data and reports

Qualifications:

· 2-3 years of scheduling experience. Preferably in a healthcare environment

· Exceptional organizational skills

· ·Problem solving

· Experience creating Master schedules

· Working with unionized employees

· Staff Schedule Care (SSC) experience preferred

· ADP experience preferred

· Proficiency in Microsoft platforms (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams, etc.)

· Proof of full immunization (2 doses) against COVID-19

· A Criminal Records and Vulnerable Sector Screening check to the satisfaction of Primacare™ Living Solutions.
