Job Description
The Analytics and Information Management team supports the entire Canadian Auto Finance organization with reporting, data consulting, strategy and ad-hoc analyses from product development, sales and loan acquisition to operations and servicing customers.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to learn about and be at the forefront of a highly dynamic and growing business while supporting a multitude of critical initiatives across TDAF Canada.
This position will work closely with ITS, TS, and TDAF Product Groups to procure, develop and implement a best in class data infrastructure to support reporting and analysis that aids business decisions for our TD Auto Finance business in Canada.
Accountabilities
- Development and maintenance of a sophisticated Business Intelligence infrastructure and database for better analysis and timely reporting
- Familiar with industry data warehouse and business intelligence trends and best practices. Research and develop technology strategies to enhance business efficiencies
- Interface with business users, including but not limited to analytics and reporting functions, to understand data needs
- Integrate data from various source systems, by writing customized queries and jobs to be used in development of Business Intelligence, reporting solutions and business insights. Build data structures that allows efficient storage of information in a format that is easily understood
- Work with TS and business partners to identify and triage platform issues and drive to resolution
- Support business deliverables for the deployment and change management of the platform, including providing input on project artifacts (ideation, business case, BRD, SRS, etc.)
- Implement standards, processes, and procedures aligned to Enterprise Data Strategy, ensure data quality and metadata requirements are embedded in/adhered to within system development deliverables
- Explore new data sources and understand the context of the data as it pertains to the business; work with the LOB data governance team and Technology Solutions partners to onboard new data
- Responsible for Data Quality management work and Metadata management
Job Requirements
- Expert understanding of Data-Warehousing and Analytical Infrastructure methodology
- Expert in developing and managing database technologies
- Expert in developing and tuning ETL processes using a variety of technologies (i.e. SSIS, DataStage, Informatica)
- Expert knowledge of at least 2 database platforms
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Business Intelligence Suite (SSDS, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS)
- Advanced knowledge of Business Intelligence industry technologies (Cognos, Tableau, MSBI, etc.)
- Development experience on Mainframe (SAS, JCL, and, COBOL)
- Knowledge of PC SAS/SAS EG/SAS Mainframe
- Demonstrates the ability to operate and utilize cross-platform technologies including MSBI, Cognos, IBM DB2, SAS, Teradata
- Demonstrate the ability to participate in projects from requirements to deployment
- Demonstrate the ability to develop and present technological strategies/designs/Ability to work and research/resolve issues independently while sharing best practices and knowledge with colleagues.
- Operate in a collaborative and cooperative environment and must possess the strong interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with colleagues at various levels of the organization
- Previous Auto Finance experience would be an asset
