Full job description

Dishon Limited is a leading supplier of complex machined components for rocket engines, commercial & military aircraft, satellites, robotics and other high-tech applications.

We work in a fast-paced environment where we are constantly developing exciting new products to support some of the most successful aircraft, rockets and primary systems in the world.

Customers include SpaceX, Collins Aerospace, Safran and many more. We have been operating for over 40 years.

SUMMARY:

This position involves assistance to the Quality Department to ensure that the company meets client, regulatory, and statutory requirements, and improving the quality of our products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Developing, running and/or modifying CMM programs to measure manufactured parts, components, checking fixtures and other objects as requested, using the software Calypso.
  • The programmer is responsible for using 3D computer models or create them from paper drawings if not existing, for providing CMM data reports in the format requested, and for ensuring the accuracy of the measurements and data
  • Document/discuss unacceptable or inferior quality materials with internal and external parties and take corrective action
  • Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
  • Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.
  • Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions; calling for repairs.
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
  • Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • When not programming the CMM this position will require other miscellaneous quality assurance activities such as supporting final inspection, training junior inspectors/programmers etc.
  • Generate First Article Inspection Reports per AS9102 and SPC documents

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Post-secondary education in Engineering or similar
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience with CMM/quality control and Calypso software.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to details
  • Able to work with minimum supervision
  • Ability to handle stress, pressure and deadlines
  • Experience using quality engineering techniques/tools related to inspection processes
  • Experience using Microsoft Office

  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Methodical and organized with a clear attention to detail
  • Good time management skills
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Work is performed in a manufacturing environment.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, electrical equipment, acetone, alcohol, oil-based lubricants and cleaning solutions
  • Occasionally exposed to moderate cold and extreme heat.
  • Constant exposure to noise.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and have the ability to hear.
  • The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and stoop or crouch.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
