If you are passionate about patient care, dedicated to excellence, and eager to contribute to a dynamic team, we invite you to apply for our Research Manager position as we have a current vacancy.

Responsibilities:

  • Set annual research goals in alignment with organizational strategy and develop a budget plan for approval, ensuring all research projects have clear objectives, timelines, and resource allocations.
  • Lead and manage the research team, including scientists and fellows, overseeing all aspects of project planning, execution, and delivery to ensure studies are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Oversee research policies, procedures, recruitment and compliance, ensuring studies meet high standards of quality, efficiency, and industry best practices.
  • Monitor departmental needs (staffing, equipment, and budget) and proactively plan and allocate resources to ensure successful project execution.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and foster professional growth within the research team.
  • Support physicians in preparing for conferences and publications.
  • Build and maintain industry partnerships to secure new studies, funding, and collaborative opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Finance to showcase our research capabilities and manage project costs, reimbursements, and financial oversight.
  • Evaluate new technologies and clinical offerings to support our position as a Key Opinion Leader.
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects and organizational initiatives, applying project management principles to coordinate activities, track progress, and report outcomes.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and filing of research materials, including project plans, milestone tracking, and study deliverables, to support transparency and accountability.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and commitment to our values while promoting staff engagement and service excellence.
  • Perform other related duties and ad hoc tasks as assigned to support departmental and organizational needs.

Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to achieve results through collaboration, influence, and strategic execution.
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on developing others, promoting accountability, and driving service excellence.
  • High level of emotional intelligence with strong self-awareness and the ability to lead by example.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to inspire and guide cross-functional teams.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in clinical research field. Research experience in ophthalmology/optometry is an asset but not necessary.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to manage timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience prioritizing multiple tasks and working effectively in a team-based, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong critical thinking and resourceful problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to change, manage competing priorities, and work well under pressure.
  • Lifelong learner with a growth mindset and openness to new challenges.
