Overview
MAGIC Clinic is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to support the conduct of industry‑sponsored and investigator‑initiated clinical trials. This role combines hands‑on study coordination and regulatory‑compliant trial execution.

Key Responsibilities

Study Start‑Up & Regulatory

  • Assist with the review of clinical trial protocols to assess site feasibility.
  • Prepare, submit, and maintain regulatory documents for sponsors, CROs, and Research Ethics Boards (REB), including HREBA submissions.
  • Support site initiation activities, including staff training, study documentation, and site regulatory readiness.
  • Coordinate with procurement, finance, and vendors to ensure all study‑related services and contracts are in place.

Participant Management & Visit Coordination

  • Screen and identify potential participants in accordance with inclusion and exclusion criteria.
  • Ensure informed consent is obtained and maintained in compliance with REB and protocol requirements.
  • Coordinate patient visits, monitoring visits, audits, and site activities with the clinic administration team.
  • Ensure investigational product (IP), laboratory kits, and ancillary supplies are ordered, received, and inventoried.
  • Work closely with nursing staff, pharmacists, and investigators to ensure visits are conducted accurately and efficiently.

Data Management, Analysis & Publications

  • Perform detailed data entry, data cleaning, and query resolution within electronic data capture (EDC) systems.
  • Collaborate with monitors, data managers, and sponsors to resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Sponsor‑requested summaries and reports
  • Support data preparation for study close‑out, audits, and long‑term archiving.
  • Maintain high standards of data quality, completeness, and traceability.

Monitoring, Compliance & Quality

  • Support site monitoring visits and inspections.
  • Ensure studies are conducted in compliance with ICH‑GCP, Health Canada Division 5, and applicable privacy legislation (PIPA).
  • Assist with responding to audit findings and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure all protocol amendments, Investigator’s Brochure (IB) updates, and study staff trainings are documented.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in clinical research coordination within Canada.
  • Experience working under Health Canada regulations and Canadian REBs.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple studies simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with clinical trial systems (e.g., EDC platforms, IVRS/IWRS, SiteCentric).
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred

  • CCRP or SOCRA certification.
  • Experience supporting publications, abstracts, or poster presentations.
  • Working knowledge of basic statistical analysis and research reporting.
  • Experience with industry‑sponsored trials and CRO interactions.
