*Job Summary*

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide quality nursing care to patients under the direction of physicians for patients in the downtown inner core area.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor patient vital signs and assess health status
  • Administer medications and treatments accurately following physician orders
  • Provide wound care and other clinical procedures as needed
  • Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards
  • Document patient care activities using electronic health records JUNO EMR
  • Ensure availability of clinic supplies
  • Prepare patient educational materials under physician supervision
  • Educate patients and families about health conditions and treatment plans
  • Assist patients and families with various forms (e.g. AISH)
  • Support Physicians with reports
  • Carry out duties assigned from time to time

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse in settings such as medical clinics, hospitals, assisted living facilities, or home health care
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records systems such as Juno EMR is preferred
  • Prior experience working with diverse patient populations including vulnerable population
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams

Work Schedule

Monday to Friday: 8 hour shift

No Work on Stat Holidays, Paid

Expected hours: 40 per week
