Duties include:

  • Welcome patients and direct them to the appropriate location.

  • Schedule appointments according to patients' treatment needs.
  • Assist patients with completing required forms and documentation.
  • Collect payments and process patient checkout.
  • Prepare insurance claim documentation.
  • Prepare and balance daily financial records.
  • Receive incoming mail and deliveries.
  • Manage the clinic email inbox.
  • Contact patients to confirm appointments.
  • Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
  • Answer and direct incoming telephone calls.
  • Complete clinic laundry as required.
  • Clean, inspect, package, and sterilize dental instruments.
  • Store sterilized instruments in designated areas.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency with a multi-line telephone system, computers, photocopiers, and other standard office equipment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with patients, referring offices, and team members, and to complete accurate clinical and administrative documentation.
  • Excellent telephone etiquette.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to interact respectfully and effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Willingness and ability to learn quickly.
  • Previous reception experience in a dental or medical office is an asset.
  • Sterilization training is an asset; if not already completed, the successful candidate will be required to complete a recognized sterilization course after hire. Training will be provided.
  • Strong keyboarding and typing skills.

We offer:

  • Clinic uniforms provided.
  • Health and dental benefits following the successful completion of the probationary period.
  • Competitive wages based on experience, to be discussed during the interview process.

Please apply only if you meet the qualifications outlined above and are confident in your ability to perform the responsibilities of this position.
