Administrative Assistant

Alamos Gold’s Young-Davidson is a low-cost, long-life operation and one of Canada’s largest underground gold mines. The 2020 completion of a highly automated, lower mine expansion has resulted in Young-Davidson increasing production and generating strong free cash flow. Role Overview

As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a strategic role in in supporting the General Manager and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the leadership team. You will be responsible for coordinating meetings, events, communications, and business activities while maintaining a high level of professionalism, discretion, and organization. Working closely with leaders across the organization, you will support strategic initiatives, foster engagement, and help drive business success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Executive Support: Manage and coordinate the General Manager’s calendar, meeting schedules, priorities, and administrative activities.
  • Business Coordination: Provide administrative support to the management team, including scheduling, communications, meeting coordination, and business-related activities.
  • Meeting & Event Management: Organize leadership meetings, quarterly business reviews, employee engagement events, industry conferences, trade shows, and community activities.
  • Travel & Logistics: Coordinate travel arrangements, accommodations, catering, and logistics for business-related events and meetings.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Prepare agendas, presentations, correspondence, reports, and supporting documentation while tracking action items and follow-up activities.
  • Community & Employee Engagement: Support employee appreciation initiatives and participate in the administration of donations, sponsorships, and community investment activities.

What You Bring to the Table

  • 3-5 years of experience providing executive or senior-level administrative support.
  • Proven track record supporting senior leaders in a professional and fast-paced environment.
  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Office Administration, or a related field is considered an asset.
  • Exceptional organizational, planning, time management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high degree of professionalism.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams; experience with Visio is considered an asset.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, interpret, and present information to support business planning and decision-making.
  • High attention to detail, discretion, integrity, and sound judgment when handling confidential information.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently while managing multiple priorities.

Salary Range: CAD $65,000 - $85,000

The expected salary range for this role is intended to support transparency and informed decision making. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience and internal equity.
