Lead HVAC Cleaning Technician

MAX Heating & Air Conditioning

MAX Heating & Air Conditioning is a fast-growing, family-owned mechanical contractor serving residential, commercial, restoration, institutional, and specialty clients throughout Alberta.

We are currently looking for an experienced HVAC Cleaning Technician to join our growing HVAC Cleaning Division.

This position is intended for someone who has previous experience in duct cleaning, HVAC cleaning, restoration, construction, mechanical service, or a related field and is looking for a long-term career with opportunities to grow into a Lead Technician and supervisory position.

Direct duct cleaning and HVAC cleaning experience is a strong asset and will be compensated accordingly.

We are looking for someone who can take ownership of their work, communicate professionally with clients, work effectively with a crew, and eventually take responsibility for running projects and job sites.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have previous experience in HVAC cleaning, duct cleaning, restoration, construction, mechanical, or a related service industry
  • Have HVAC or duct cleaning experience as a strong asset
  • Demonstrate leadership potential and the ability to take ownership of jobs
  • Have a strong work ethic and professional attitude
  • Be dependable, punctual, organized, and accountable
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Communicate professionally with clients, project managers, and team members
  • Be comfortable working independently and leading or working within a crew
  • Have a valid Class 5 Driver's Licence
  • Have a clean driver's abstract
  • Be able to pass a criminal background check
  • Have reliable transportation to and from our Edmonton office
  • Be physically capable of lifting 50 lbs and working in residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial environments
  • Be comfortable working occasional evenings, weekends, overtime, and out-of-town projects when required

Responsibilities

As an HVAC Cleaning Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing residential and commercial HVAC system cleaning
  • Cleaning ductwork, furnaces, air handling units, rooftop units, make-up air units, coils, exhaust systems, and ventilation equipment
  • Operating professional HVAC cleaning equipment and negative-air systems
  • Performing work in accordance with NADCA standards and MAX Heating procedures
  • Assisting with and eventually leading commercial, restoration, institutional, and specialty cleaning projects
  • Communicating with customers and site contacts before, during, and after service
  • Taking before-and-after photographs and completing required job documentation
  • Completing job-site checklists and safety documentation
  • Maintaining company vehicles, tools, and equipment
  • Identifying additional work, deficiencies, or concerns while onsite
  • Helping train and support junior technicians as experience and responsibilities grow
  • Representing MAX Heating professionally at all times
