Full job description

Responsibilities Include:

  • install underground utilities to designed grades and alignment
  • set up a pipe laser and establish slope
  • dig with an excavator, and establish proper grade and bedding depths
  • cut and bevel pipe, cut concrete manholes and pipe
  • work with heavy equipment to locate existing utilities
  • bolt up mechanically restrained fittings

Qualifications:

  • minimum 8 years of Civil Construction experience, working specifically in underground utilities
  • class 5 drivers license
  • must be proficient with all tools relating to this job title (cut off saws, pipe lasers, rigging, etc.)
  • extensive knowledge and understanding of the instillation of storm, sanitary, and watermains
  • able to read and interpret Civil drawings
  • understanding of proper excavation and shoring methods
  • able to assemble shoring cages
  • able to work in a team environment
