Civil/Municipal Engineer – Department Lead

Parsus Engineering (Parsus) is seeking a Senior Civil/Municipal Engineer to support and grow our presence in Saskatchewan. This position is suited to an experienced engineer who enjoys leading projects, building client relationships, and helping expand operations within a growing region. This is a senior leadership position with significant opportunity for growth within the Parsus management team.

In this role, you will lead the planning, design, and delivery of municipal and land development projects while working closely with a collaborative, multidisciplinary team. You will oversee civil design activities, coordinate engineering work across disciplines, and provide leadership throughout project delivery from early planning through construction.

The successful candidate will also play an important role in strengthening and growing Parsus’ presence within Saskatchewan by developing relationships with municipalities, clients, and industry partners and helping identify new project opportunities within the region.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate civil design work for municipal and land development projects
  • Prepare engineering studies, designs, cost estimates, specifications, and contract documents
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and municipal officials to resolve project issues and maintain progress
  • Support integrated design development with structural, electrical, and mechanical teams
  • Conduct site inspections to review construction progress and assess the quality of work being performed
  • Provide construction support and contract administration services during project delivery
  • Support efforts to expand Parsus Engineering’s presence and client base throughout the region
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with municipalities, developers, and industry stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of experience related to surface water management and municipal infrastructure
  • Current P.Eng. designation with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS), or eligibility to obtain registration
  • Experience with municipal servicing and land development projects
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license for a passenger vehicle willingness to travel within Saskatchewan

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of municipal servicing design including water distribution, sanitary sewer, drainage, and subdivision development
  • Solid understanding of municipal standards, approvals processes, and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents
  • Strong communication and coordination skills when working with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams
