Introduction

This does not need to be overly formal or professionally produced - a simple video recorded on your phone or computer is completely fine. We are looking to assess professional communication and presentation, and how clearly you can explain technical concepts.

Questions:

1. Walk us through your AutoCAD experience to convert sketches and redlines into final 2D drawings?

2. Describe the process for developing MTO’s, and what checks you perform to ensure accuracy and consistency?

Summary

The Junior Structural Designer would report to the Civil Engineering Lead.

This role would also have tremendous potential for growth within the company for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Work with the civil engineering and design team.
  • Use detailed sketches or redlines to design 2D drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Support senior designers to prepare detailed structural 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software, including pile layouts, structural drawings, foundations etc.
  • 1 - 4 years experience in steel and concrete design for oil and gas facilities.
  • Technical school certification or diploma in CAD.
  • Proficiency with CADWorx and AutoCAD.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
