The Memorial Regional Civic Centre is a multi-sport, recreation, entertainment and conference facility located in Campbellton, New Brunswick. Throughout the year, the facility hosts Campbellton Tigers hockey games, tournaments, festivals, weddings, conferences and other community events.

Job Summary

We are looking for reliable and customer-focused individuals to join our canteen and bartending team.

The primary responsibilities of this position are working in the canteen and/or bar during hockey games, tournaments, concerts, weddings and other events held at the Memorial Regional Civic Centre.

Depending on operational needs, employees may also assist with food preparation, event setup, cleanup and other related duties.

Responsibilities

  • Serve customers in the canteen and/or bar.
  • Prepare and serve food and beverages.
  • Perform bartending duties when assigned.
  • Provide friendly and professional customer service.
  • Operate the point-of-sale system and handle cash transactions accurately.
  • Maintain clean and organized canteen, bar and food-service areas.
  • Follow food safety, sanitation and responsible beverage-service requirements.
  • Restock food, beverages and supplies as required.
  • Assist with opening and closing the canteen or bar.
  • Assist with cleaning following events.
  • Occasionally assist with event setup and teardown, including tables and chairs.
  • Wash, clean, fold and store table linens when required.
  • Support other food and beverage operations as needed.

Qualifications

  • Strong customer-service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a busy environment.
  • Reliable and able to work as part of a team.
  • Previous canteen, restaurant, bar or customer-service experience is an asset.
  • Food Safety certification is an asset or willingness to obtain.
  • Responsible Beverage Service certification is required for bartending duties or willingness to obtain.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays according to the event schedule.
  • Ability to communicate in both English and French is an asset.

Le Centre civique régional Memorial est un complexe multisports, récréatif, événementiel et de congrès situé à Campbellton, au Nouveau-Brunswick. Tout au long de l'année, le Centre accueille les matchs des Tigres de Campbellton, des tournois, des festivals, des mariages, des conférences et plusieurs autres événements communautaires.

Nous recherchons des personnes fiables et axées sur le service à la clientèle pour se joindre à notre équipe de cantine et de bar.

Les principales responsabilités de ce poste consistent à travailler à la cantine et/ou au bar lors des matchs de hockey, tournois, concerts, mariages et autres événements organisés au Centre civique régional Memorial.

Selon les besoins opérationnels, les employés peuvent également aider à la préparation des aliments, au montage et au démontage des événements, au nettoyage et à d'autres tâches connexes.

Responsabilités

  • Servir les clients à la cantine et/ou au bar.
  • Préparer et servir des aliments et des boissons.
  • Effectuer des tâches de service au bar lorsque requis.
  • Offrir un service à la clientèle courtois et professionnel.
  • Utiliser le système de point de vente et effectuer les transactions avec précision.
  • Maintenir les espaces de cantine, de bar et de restauration propres et bien organisés.
  • Respecter les normes de sécurité alimentaire, d'hygiène et de service responsable des boissons alcoolisées.
  • Réapprovisionner les aliments, les boissons et les fournitures au besoin.
  • Participer à l'ouverture et à la fermeture de la cantine ou du bar.
  • Participer au nettoyage après les événements.
  • Aider occasionnellement au montage et au démontage des événements, notamment avec les tables et les chaises.
  • Laver, nettoyer, plier et ranger les nappes au besoin.
  • Soutenir les autres activités du service des aliments et boissons lorsque nécessaire.

Qualifications

  • Bonnes aptitudes en service à la clientèle et en communication.
  • Capacité à travailler efficacement dans un environnement achalandé.
  • Fiabilité et capacité à travailler en équipe.
  • Une expérience en cantine, restauration, bar ou service à la clientèle est un atout.
  • Une certification en sécurité alimentaire est un atout ou volonté de l'obtenir.
  • Une certification de service responsable des boissons alcoolisées est requise pour les tâches de bar ou volonté de l'obtenir.
  • Disponibilité pour travailler les soirs, les fins de semaine et les jours fériés selon l'horaire des événements.
  • Capacité à communiquer en français et en anglais est un atout.

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $16.00-$19.89 per hour

Expected hours: 5.0 – 25.0 per week
