Ace Acumen Heights is a Languages Canada accredited designated learning institution (DLI). As a private international institution located in Toronto, Ontario, the school is fully inspected by the Ontario Ministry of Education. The courses we offer derive from the curriculum set by the Ontario Ministry of Education, and our students work towards their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) to continue their academic careers at a post-secondary school of their choice.

The High School is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable teacher/instructor to lead our AI Innovation Summer Camp. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, guiding hands-on activities, and helping students explore the fundamentals of artificial intelligence, coding, digital innovation, and real-world technology applications.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with youth, has a strong interest in AI and technology, and can make complex concepts easy to understand for students.

Candidates must be flexible to workdays, afternoons, and evenings, as necessary. This is a fixed-term semester contract position.

This position is expected to work on-site at the High School’s campus (North York); it is NOT a remote job.

Successful candidate(s) will be responsible for teaching and administrative duties including evaluation/marking responsibilities, planning lessons and activities, adopting a creative approach, and encouraging and motivating students to learn. Candidates must demonstrate excellent verbal communication, written communication and interpersonal skills:

  • Experience designing or delivering STEM, coding, robotics, or AI programs.
  • Ability to create project-based learning activities.
  • Comfortable using educational technology and online learning tools.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to motivate students.
  • Creativity in developing fun and age-appropriate technology lessons.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Teaching experience, tutoring experience, camp instruction experience, or experience working with youth.
  • Background in computer science, coding, artificial intelligence, technology, engineering, education, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of beginner-level coding and AI concepts.
  • Ability to explain technical topics in a simple and engaging way.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Patient, organized, creative, and enthusiastic about student learning.
  • Experience teaching students in Grades 6–12 is considered an asset.
  • Ontario teaching certification is an asset but not required.
  • Experience with tools such as Scratch, Python, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Canva, robotics, coding platforms, or AI learning tools is considered an asset.
  • Flexibility in working shifts and to travel between campuses
