Full job description

Peterbilt has an opening for Parts Driver for our Red Deer location. This is a challenging role requiring organizational skills, route planning, heavy lifting, safe driving techniques, and a professional, customer focused, attitude. We are willing to train someone with the right mix of attitude and work ethic. This role can lead to Parts Apprenticeship for someone who impresses.

Summary:

Reporting to the Parts Manager, the Parts Driver is responsible for picking up and delivering parts and related items in a safe and professional manner. This position can improve and impact our customers overall experience by providing exceptional customer service.

Duties to include, but are not limited to:

· Driving company vehicle to deliver parts and supplies to customer locations.

· Obtaining signatures and proof of delivery.

· Picking product up from vendors and delivering to the company location.

· Planning delivery routes and schedules

· Working as warehouse staff during slow times.

· Placing returned product in designated area and/or shelf.

· Stocking and cleaning inventory and displays.

· Communicating with parts department staff using company mobile phone

· Candidate must be able to lift up-to 75lbs, floor to waist frequently

What we are looking for:

· Full Class 5 driver’s license and clean drivers abstract

· Detailed knowledge of city and surrounding area

· Attention to detail in all areas of work

· Ability to work well under pressure

· Strong work ethic, integrity, and positive team attitude

· Customer service skills

· Delivery/ Parts experience an asset
