You will manage client relationships, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and oversee project budgets, schedules and quality while contributing to the continued growth of our municipal infrastructure practice.

You will benefit from our hybrid work model, which offers flexible work hours and the opportunity to work from home and in our Ottawa office.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage municipal infrastructure projects from planning and design through approvals and construction support for municipal clients across Ontario.
  • Lead and coordinate engineering design for watermains, storm and sanitary sewers, roads, drainage and stormwater management systems, etc.
  • Define project scope, budgets, schedules and resource requirements, and monitor progress to meet client expectations.
  • Serve as the primary client contact and liaise with government agencies, regulatory authorities and other stakeholders to guide projects through approval processes.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and review engineering drawings, reports, specifications and other deliverables for quality and technical accuracy.
  • Manage project risks, scope changes and change orders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare proposals, develop project work plans and support business development through strong client relationships.
  • Provide technical guidance, coaching and mentorship to junior staff.
  • Attend site and construction meetings as required to support project delivery and resolve technical issues.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in municipal infrastructure design, including experience managing projects and coordinating project teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario, or eligible for licensure.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project scope, budgets, schedules, resources and client relationships.
  • Strong technical knowledge of municipal infrastructure design and applicable standards and approval processes.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and/or OpenRoads is an asset.
  • Strong leadership, organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
