Each restaurant creates award-winning Canadian and Chinese favourites with every Dine-In, Take-Out and Delivery experience.

HOST/HOSTESS

Join our dynamic Mandarin Hamilton East Team as a Host/Hostess and become the welcoming face of our vibrant restaurant! In this lively role, you will create a warm, inviting atmosphere by greeting guests with enthusiasm, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth seating arrangements. Your energy and excellent communication skills will set the tone for an exceptional dining experience, making every guest feel valued from the moment they walk through the door. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your hospitality skills while contributing to a memorable customer journey.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Welcome guests promptly with a friendly smile, energetic attitude and assist with seating arrangements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized host stand and create a welcoming environment for guests upon arrival.
  • Communicate effectively with servers and management to coordinate seating and service flow.
  • Answer guest inquiries via phone with professionalism and clear communication, providing accurate information about wait times or reservation details.
  • Support guest services by addressing special requests or concerns promptly and courteously.
  • Assist in maintaining overall restaurant cleanliness and organization to uphold high standards of hospitality.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in food service or hospitality roles is preferred, especially in restaurant settings.
  • Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening abilities.
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality

BUFFET ATTENDANT

Mandarin Hamilton East is currently hiring Buffet Attendants. We are seeking a passionate and results-driven individual to join our team to fill this existing vacancy. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a positive experience for customers and maintaining cleanliness standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in the food service industry while working in a fast-paced setting. No experience required. We look forward to welcoming motivated candidates eager to grow within our team!

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Replenish buffet items promptly, such as hot food items, salad, and dessert.…etc.

· Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the buffet area and equipment in compliance with food safety standards

· Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times

· Support team members in maintaining efficient restaurant operations and customer satisfaction

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • Salary Range $17.60 per hour plus tips, if any

SCHEDULE
