Creative Content Lead — Bilingual (Chinese/English) | Part-Time, Remote

Company: Dolkun Media Job type: Part-time (20 hours/week minimum) Location: Remote Pay: $24,000 CAD/year (~$23.08 CAD/hour). Additional hours beyond 20/week are paid at the same hourly rate.

About the role

Dolkun Media runs social media content for restaurants and local businesses across multiple niches. Every client account gets a full content shoot roughly every two months, and someone has to own the creative from idea to finished video. That's this role.

As our Creative Content Lead, you run the full creative pipeline for your assigned accounts. You own the strategy, the ideation, the shot list, the editor's game plan, and the final review. You are the quality-control layer between raw footage and published content. If it goes out, it's because you said it was ready.

This is a hands-on, write-all-day, review-all-day role for someone who loves short-form content and thinks in systems, not guesswork.

What's involved

This is a hands-on creative role. Day to day, you'll be:

  • Writing — content ideas, shot lists, and editing game plans in both Chinese and English.
  • Talking to clients — quick discovery calls to understand each business before we film.
  • Ideating — researching what's working and turning it into a content plan for each account.
  • Planning shoots — building the game plan and shot list that guide the videographer and editor.
  • Reviewing — overseeing every video from first draft to final cut and approving what's ready to publish.

In short, you own the creative for your accounts from idea to finished video.

What we're looking for

  • Bilingual: you must be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in BOTH Chinese and English. Game plans and editing notes are written in Chinese; client communication and on-screen text involve both languages. Applicants who cannot write and speak in both Chinese and English will not be considered.
  • Experience in any editorial role (writing, content, copy, video, editing) — OR a strong interest and genuinely relevant experience in social media content strategy and planning.
  • A sharp eye for short-form video: hooks, pacing, on-screen text, and what makes content perform.
  • Organized, deadline-driven, and comfortable following systems and templates consistently rather than improvising.
  • Clear, direct communicator who can brief videographers and editors and hold work to a standard.

Nice to have: restaurant/F&B or local-business social content experience, familiarity with Instagram/TikTok trends, and basic comfort with tools like Loom, WeChat, Dropbox, and project trackers.

Full training provided — learn from the best

You don't need to have it all figured out. If you have basic social media experience, a feel for short-form content, and ideally some exposure to the restaurant space or relevant short-form video work, we'll train you the rest of the way.

Dolkun Media is the largest bilingual content agency in North America, and you'll be learning our system directly from us — the leaders in this space. That includes:

  • An extensive, step-by-step training manual covering our entire content process.
  • One-on-one training and mentorship so you're never figuring it out alone.
  • A validated, proven method that consistently delivers real results for restaurants.

This is a rare chance to learn a repeatable, results-driven system from an agency at the top of the industry — and to build a career in short-form content while you do it.

Schedule & compensation

  • Part-time, minimum 20 hours/week, remote.
  • $24,000 CAD/year base, which works out to roughly $23.08 CAD/hour.
  • Any hours worked beyond the 20/week minimum are compensated at that same hourly rate.
  • Performance bonuses are available based on the organic results of the content you direct.

Room to grow

This part-time role has a clear path to full-time. The demand for full-time work is already here — how fast you get there is up to you. The quicker you pick things up, learn the system, and deliver strong work, the sooner part-time can become a full-time position.

How to apply

Apply here, and you'll be invited to answer a short question before we move to an interview. Your answers are what we'll base the interview on, so put some thought into them.

Application question: Send us 3 Instagram accounts you genuinely like and follow — and tell us why you like each one.

You can reply two ways:

  • Message me directly here in the chat box, or
  • Email your answers to daniel@dolkunmedia.com

Note: This is a bilingual role. You must be able to write and communicate in both Chinese and English to be considered.
