Lead ECE Teacher Early Childhood Educator (ECE) – Full-time

About Us

Whole Education Academy

We are looking for a caring, responsible, and capable Lead ECE Teacher to join our early childhood education team.

We hope you are passionate about early childhood education, enjoy working with children, possess strong classroom management skills, a spirit of teamwork, and a professional and steady work attitude. You will help create a safe, warm, positive, and inspiring learning environment for young children.

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan and lead daily teaching activities in the classroom
  • Create a safe, warm, and caring environment for children’s growth
  • Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
  • Maintain positive and professional communication with parents
  • Collaborate effectively with other teachers and team members
  • Handle classroom management, documentation, and daily teaching support
  • Follow school policies and all licensing, health, and safety requirements
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional training sessions

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Valid ECE Certificate recognized by BC
  • Valid First Aid Certificate
  • Provide a clear Criminal Record Check
  • Experience working in a licensed early learning center
  • Strong classroom management and teamwork skills
  • Good English communication ability
  • Responsible, stable, caring, and committed to quality work

Preferred Priority Qualification

  • Strong team spirit and communication skills
  • Experience in classroom or staff management, with strong execution ability
  • Positive, proactive, and eager to learn and grow
  • Experience with inquiry-based, play-based, or IB approaches preferred
  • Ability to lead a class independently and strong organizational skills
  • Experience mentoring or supporting junior teachers is an asset
  • Available to work on Saturdays and Sundays is an advantage

Salary: The hourly wage rate includes the $6 ECE Wage Enhancement.
