Job Summary

St. John Brebeuf School invites applications for the following full-time permanent position: RESOURCE TEACHER starting September 2026

Primary Duties:

· Identify and assess student learning needs through observation, data review, and collaboration with teachers and parents.

· Administer screening and assessment tools (ex: DIBELS) and use results to support intervention and instructional planning.

· Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and student support plans in accordance with division and provincial guidelines.

· Provide direct instruction and/or intervention for students individually or in small groups, focusing on literacy, numeracy, and executive functioning skills.

· Support student transitions between grades and programs as needed.

· Lead transition planning by setting up class formation meetings and organizing classroom profiles.

· Provide classroom teachers with student support information (classroom profiles, adapted education plans, individualized education plans) prior to the start of the school year.

· Organize EAs deployment and supervision schedules.

Requirements:

· A teaching philosophy in keeping with Catholic education

· A minimum of two professional references submitted with contact information provided

· A minimum of one pastoral reference submitted using the form found on our website: www.sjbschool.ca

· A CRC and CARC to be submitted before commencement of employment

· A valid Manitoba Permanent Professional Certificate
