Full job description
Hopscotch is looking for ECEs striving to provide outstanding care, within a great team, from our high quality centre.
As a member of our team you would enjoy a vibrant, fun, and professional workplace, career growth opportunities, flexible schedule, great wages and benefits, working with people who care about their work and you as a person, and other perks such as a wellness program, and large staff room to relax in.
Total compensation at Hopscotch
More than just a competitive wage (note: listed amounts Include Top-Up), there is a whole package to add value to you and your life:
- Wage – competitive wages aligned with education level, ability, and experience (i.e. we recognize experience and ability in addition to level)
- Health Spending Account to help cover medical/paramedical expenses (i.e. dental and health 'Benefits') – Hopscotch provides a monthly allocation for you to allocate as you see fit to a Health plan of your choice, or to directly cover health expenses (e.g. drugs, dental, and health and wellness items (e.g. message, chiropractor, and more!)).
- Free lunches & snacks - enjoy the same healthy and delicious meals cooked onsite from our centre chef that are served to the children
- Employee and Family Assistance plan – all team members have access to supports for mental health and wellness for you and all your dependents (e.g. spouse, children), after clearance period
- CALM app subscription – app focused on wellbeing and mental fitness, for all team members after clearance period
- Professional Development Days – two (2) paid days per year where we learn (e.g. have a guest speaker) and focus on professional development
- Paid-days off - in addition to 10 Vacation days...
- December break paid off – approx. 3-4 additional paid days off per year so that each staff has a typical pay cheque while centre is closed – a great break to relax, enjoy, and still have regular amounts on your pay cheque
- 13 additional paid days off: In addition to the nine (9) standard stat days, Hopscotch observes as paid days the optional ones (Easter Monday, Heritage Day, and Boxing Day, National Day for Truth and Reconciliation Day)
- That’s approx. 27 days paid off (plus two more paid PD & wellness days would make 29…), compared to only 19 if only standard vacation and stat days are paid.
