Full job description

Position Overview

The Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for maintaining Forsythe Lubrication's ISO 9001 and IATF Quality Management System while supporting quality throughout the manufacturing facility. This role ensures documentation, audits, corrective actions, and quality records are effectively managed while also supporting production quality, performing routine manufacturing spot checks, and providing backup laboratory support. The successful candidate will help promote a culture where quality is built into every process—from receiving raw materials to shipping finished products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and continuously improve the ISO 9001 and IATF Quality Management System.
  • Manage document control, quality records, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Coordinate internal audits and support customer and certification audits.
  • Track and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
  • Investigate customer complaints, non-conformances, and quality issues.
  • Perform routine quality spot checks throughout manufacturing, including verification of raw materials, formulations, packaging, labeling, paperwork, and production processes.
  • Monitor compliance with SOPs, quality standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and quality training.
  • Prepare quality reports and monitor key quality performance indicators.
  • Provide backup support to the Quality Laboratory by assisting with routine testing, sample preparation, retains, calibration activities, and laboratory housekeeping during absences or periods of increased workload.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in Quality Assurance, Chemistry, Chemical Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality or ISO 9001 environment.
  • Knowledge of quality systems, document control, auditing, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience performing quality inspections or laboratory testing is considered an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and quality management software.
  • ISO 9001 or IATF Internal Auditor certification is considered an asset.

Pay: $50,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
