Join Our Team as a Sous Chef | Nita Lake Lodge Resort & Spa – Whistler, BC

At Nita Lake Lodge Resort & Spa, we’re looking for a passionate and experienced Sous Chef to support our culinary leadership team across a diverse multi-outlet operation including The Den restaurant, Lakeside Lounge, Fix Café, Creekbread, and our Banquet program.

You’ll work closely with our Executive Chef to lead service, support the kitchen team, and help deliver exceptional culinary experiences across the property.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead kitchen operations and support service execution across multiple outlets
  • Run the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef
  • Support, coach, and train culinary team members
  • Work confidently across all stations including grill, sauté, garde manger, and expo
  • Maintain quality, consistency, and presentation standards during service
  • Support banquet and event execution
  • Assist with ordering, prep management, scheduling, and inventory
  • Ensure strong food safety, cleanliness, and organization standards
  • Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented kitchen culture

What We’re Looking For

  • Red Seal certification or equivalent culinary experience
  • Valid FoodSafe certification
  • Minimum 3 years of kitchen experience, including leadership experience
  • Strong technical skills across all stations
  • Calm, communicative, and solutions-focused under pressure
  • A leader who takes pride in both the food and the team behind it
