We invest in creating a culture of purpose that makes our people feel valued, cared for, seen, and heard. Our approach to employee experience is tailored to your needs and ambitions:

  • Your Inclusive Experience: We are committed to cultivating an inclusive, safe, and trusting work environment.
  • Your Growth & Empowerment: We have ambitious growth goals for our firm, which makes us a great place to advance your career.

What we are looking for:

Reporting to the Head of Strategic Initiatives and Delivery, the Senior Project Manager leads complex investment technology and operational initiatives across the organization. This is a hands-on role suited to a strong delivery leader who can manage projects end to end while also contributing directly to business analysis, data analysis, testing coordination, process design, and implementation activities.

The ideal candidate brings experience delivering large-scale initiatives within asset management or financial services and is comfortable working across business and technology teams to turn requirements into practical, scalable solutions. This includes defining requirements, analyzing data, coordinating testing, resolving issues, and supporting successful implementation.

Your responsibilities:

Project Delivery

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of strategic technology and operational initiatives across Investment Operations, Trading, Risk, Compliance, Finance, and Client Reporting teams.
  • Establish project governance structures, delivery plans, timelines, milestones, and execution frameworks for complex cross-functional projects.
  • Drive project execution activities hands-on, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and aligned with business objectives.
  • Manage project scope, risks, issues, dependencies, action items, and delivery status across multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Coordinate implementation activities, deployment planning, post-production validation, and production support activities.
  • Track project progress against timelines and budgets and proactively escalate risks and blockers.

Business and Solution Analysis

  • Gather, document, and refine business and functional requirements with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Translate requirements into user stories, process flows, business rules, and data mappings.
  • Analyze data and workflows to support solution design, testing, reconciliation, and issue resolution.
  • Document current and future state processes and partner with technology teams to define practical, scalable solutions.

Testing and Implementation

  • Lead and support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities across project initiatives.
  • Develop comprehensive test strategies, test cases, validation approaches, and reconciliation processes.
  • Execute hands-on testing activities, including validating data flows, calculations, interfaces, and operational workflows.
  • Perform SQL queries and data analysis to investigate issues, validate results, and support defect resolution.
  • Coordinate defect triage, issue remediation, retesting, and stakeholder sign-off activities.
  • Ensure appropriate quality control checkpoints, acceptance criteria, and implementation readiness reviews are completed

Stakeholder Management and Communication

  • Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and project leadership.
  • Facilitate workshops, working sessions, and governance meetings to support decision-making and delivery progress.
  • Provide clear status updates, risk reporting, and executive-ready communications.
  • Build strong relationships across teams and drive accountability, alignment, and adoption.

Must have requirements to be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in project management, business analysis, product management, or consulting within financial services or asset management.
  • Proven experience delivering complex business and technology transformation initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of investment operations and front-to-back investment management workflows, including trading, compliance, settlements, accounting, reconciliations, reporting, and risk management.
  • Experience with system implementations, integrations, data migrations, and operational transformation initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, and drive delivery forward in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments and a continuous improvement mindset.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Working knowledge of SQL for data validation, analysis, and issue investigation.
  • Experience with requirements documentation, process mapping, data mapping, and system integration analysis.
  • Hands-on experience supporting testing activities, including test case development, execution, and validation of business and technical requirements.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with investment management and market data platforms such as Bloomberg, FactSet, Charles River, Aladdin, Eagle, Morningstar, or similar systems is an asset.

Nice to Have

Certifications such as PMP, CSM, CBAP, or CFA are considered strong assets.

    Additional Information:

    • Fiera Capital adheres to a hybrid working environment with 4 days in-office per week.
    • The salary range for this position is $115,000 - $135,000. This salary range is for Ontario and may vary based on the candidate’s profile and experience.
