Our Motive is to create innovative action games within iconic worlds where every player feels like the hero. Let's say that again—iconic worlds, where every player feels like the hero.
Our passion has taken us from imagining dogfighter pilots in Star Wars™: Squadrons, to re-creating Isaac Clarke onboard the Ishimura in Dead Space™, and now to building an original Iron Man action-adventure video game.
We believe in sharing our passion with our community, and with each other by having transparent discussions, by practicing an inclusive culture, and by nurturing a continuous growth mindset. Our approach feels simple, but it leads to the best work of our careers, and as a team, building unique and immersive experiences.
Motive is looking for a Cinematics Integrator to join its Iron Man team using Unreal Engine 5. You will report to the Technical Cinematics Director and collaborate with multiple discipline teams to help facilitate the creation and integration of the project’s rich narrative content.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the interdependencies between the game’s narrative and mission flow.
- Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure mutual awareness and consideration of each team's requirements.
- Ensure narrative content functions properly within the game flow.
- Identify and communicate costly or risky requirements within mission and narrative designs.
- Troubleshoot technical issues that arise with narrative content.
- Assist in the assembly of narrative content in Unreal Editor.
- Assist in the automation of narrative content integrations, where possible.
- Strong and broad familiarity with Unreal Engine.
- Prior experience building cinematic sequences in Unreal Editor.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Excellent communication skills to facilitate interdepartmental collaboration.
- Strong teamwork skills while also demonstrating autonomy and the ability to take ownership.
- Holds their work to a high standard and strives to meet and exceed expectations.
- Passion for the game development process.
Additional Skills:
- Familiarity with animation data creation and management via DCC applications (Maya, MotionBuilder, etc).
- Experience integrating animation content into a game engine.
- Experience setting up and troubleshooting physics simulations (cloth, fluids, destruction) in Unreal Editor.
