Senior Project Manager – Commercial & Guest Experience Delivery
- Pay Rate: $81.18/hour, depending on experience
- Contract Length: 6 Months Location: Calgary, Alberta
Raise is currently hiring a Senior Project Manager – Commercial & Guest Experience Delivery on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client, is a major Canadian airline.
Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.
Description
The Senior Project Manager in this role will thrive in a fast-paced, complex environment and loves turning strategy into execution. In this role, you won’t just manage timelines—you will lead cross-functional teams to build the future of our client’s guest experience, driving automation, data unity, and operational efficiency across our airline and vacation brands.
Position Overview
As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of high-visibility, complex initiatives that directly impact our clients guests and operational teams. You will own everything from project inception to operational handover, ensuring all deliverables align with department KPIs and ’s annual Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
Key Deliverables
In your first 12–18 months, you will take the flight controls on several critical workstreams, including:
- Unified Guest Data & Consent Management: Define requirements and successfully execute the Terms and Conditions framework for our primary guest data initiative.
- ServiceNow Knowledge Platform: Drive the successful launch of an MVP on the ServiceNow Knowledge platform to streamline internal operations.
- Vacations Automation: Lead the transition from manual processing to an automated workflow for Travel Bank utilization within the Vacations teams.
- Strategic Initiatives: Spearhead other high-priority commercial and operational projects as corporate needs evolve.
Core Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Execution
- Define project scope, clear objectives, success metrics, and tangible deliverables in partnership with sponsors.
- Develop comprehensive project plans mapping out timelines, milestones, and resource requirements.
- Maintain integrated schedules, project documentation, and drive day-to-day execution to hit critical milestones.
- Monitor progress continuously, driving delivery cadence via status updates, stand-ups, and milestone checkpoints.
- Governance & Risk Management
- Establish robust project governance structures, reporting cadences, and executive decision forums (e.g., Steering Committees).
- Own and maintain the project RAID log (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies); identify and mitigate risks proactively before they impact the timeline.
- Manage scope changes strictly using structured impact assessments.
- Escalate critical issues to leadership with clear, well-reasoned options and actionable recommendations.
- Stakeholder Alignment & Communication
- Act as the central coordination point across diverse IT teams, vendor partners, and business units.
- Provide transparent, executive-ready reporting on delivery status, timelines, and risks.
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops and alignment sessions to keep stakeholders engaged and expectations managed.
- Closure & Operational Readiness
- Track and report on project outcomes, KPIs, and strategic alignment metrics post-launch.
- Conduct thorough post-implementation reviews and retrospectives to capture process improvement opportunities.
- Ensure all delivered solutions are seamlessly embedded and adopted into daily business operations.
Qualifications
- Experience & Methodologies:
- 5–8+ years of progressive project management experience navigating highly complex, corporate environments.
- A proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale, cross-functional initiatives from concept to completion.
- Deep expertise in project delivery methodologies, with the ability to fluidly apply Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid frameworks depending on project needs.
- Strong foundational experience in risk management, dependency mapping, and establishing corporate governance frameworks.
- Leadership & Soft Skills:
- Influence Without Authority: Exceptional leadership skills with a proven ability to align, motivate, and drive accountability across diverse cross-functional teams.
- Executive Communication: Brilliant written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver concise, executive-ready presentations as easily as operational briefs.
- Strategic Execution: A strategic thinker who doesn't lose sight of the details; strong problem-solving and proactive decision-making skills.
- Organization: Elite planning and organizational skills, comfortably managing multiple shifting priorities.
- What Makes You Stand Out (Nice to Haves)
- Formal training or experience in Change Management (e.g., Prosci) to help business teams successfully adopt new automated processes.
- High proficiency with modern project management tooling like MS Planner, Jira, or Azure DevOps.
- Prior experience in Vendor and Partner Management, navigating third-party delivery timelines and contracts.
- Education and Certifications
- University degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering
- Preferred Certifications PMP (Project Management Professional), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or PMI-ACP
- Change Management (e.g., PROSCI) (nice to have)
- ServiceNow Fundamentals / Micro-certifications (nice to have)
