Senior Discovery Tours, the leader in fully escorted, all-inclusive group tours for the 55+ traveller is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team at the Toronto office.

Position Overview

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk, with an eye for detail, to assist with the day-to-day operations of our finance department. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and assisting with other accounting tasks as needed. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level professional looking to gain experience in accounting and finance within a supportive and collaborative work environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process AP invoices and issue payments daily, ensuring accuracy and preventing errors.
  • Enter wire payments into the Business Central system after approval.
  • Reconcile hotel invoices with booking systems weekly to verify contract compliance.
  • Verify hotel invoices against deposits paid weekly.
  • Maintain organized filing of paid A/P invoices weekly.
  • Assist with Accounts Receivable, financial statements, and other tasks as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel a must.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook E-mail.
  • Proficient in Windows 10 and above.
  • Familiarity with other accounting software’s.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Prior internship or work experience in accounting or finance is preferred.
  • Proven ability to learn new technologies and platforms.
  • Ability to interact effectively with staff from multiple branch offices
  • Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.

JOB TYPE:

Full-time. Must be able to work in the Toronto office at 225 Eglinton Ave. West, from 9am-5pm Monday to Friday.
