Full job description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Cell Phone Repair Technician specializing in board-level diagnostics and microsoldering. This is a senior technical role for someone who can confidently diagnose and repair complex hardware failures with minimal supervision. You'll be responsible for handling advanced repairs, maintaining high-quality workmanship, and supporting junior technicians when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform board-level diagnostics and troubleshooting
  • Complete microsoldering repairs on smartphones and tablets
  • Repair charging circuits, Face ID, audio IC, touch IC, backlight circuits, power issues, and other motherboard-related faults
  • Replace FPC connectors, charging ICs, and other board components
  • Diagnose liquid-damaged devices and perform corrosion remediation
  • Perform advanced hardware repairs including screens, batteries, charging ports, back glass, housings, and cameras
  • Conduct comprehensive post-repair testing (Face ID, cameras, speakers, microphones, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular, NFC, wireless charging, sensors, etc.)
  • Document repair findings and maintain accurate records
  • Assist with quality control and mentor junior technicians
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workspace

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional smartphone repair experience
  • Extensive experience with board-level repair and microsoldering
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience repairing modern iPhone and Android devices
  • Ability to read board layouts and diagnose complex hardware faults
  • Experience using microscopes, hot air stations, soldering stations, DC power supplies, and multimeters
  • Excellent attention to detail and steady soldering skills
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining high repair standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with iPad, MacBook, or game console board repair
  • Experience with data recovery
  • Familiarity with ZXW, JCID, Phoneboard, or similar repair software
  • Previous experience training or supervising technicians

Requirements

  • Must be able to commute to Brampton, Ontario
  • Weekend availability is considered an asset

Pay: $17.60-$32.05 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
