Full job description

About the Company

We are a chef-driven catering company delivering elevated Pacific Northwest cuisine and seamless event service across Greater Vancouver. From intimate corporate lunches to large-scale weddings and special events, we bring bold flavours, exceptional presentation, and a commitment to quality, sustainability, and diversity to every occasion. Our clients include some of Vancouver's most recognized companies and individuals, and we take pride in building long-term relationships through outstanding service and culinary excellence.

The Role

We're looking for a driven, personable, and results-oriented Business Development Manager to grow our client base and deepen relationships with existing accounts. This is a hands-on sales role—you'll be on the phone, in the field, and in the office building the pipeline that fuels our growth. You'll report directly to ownership and lead a Sales Coordinator who supports your outreach and proposal efforts.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on relationship-building, isn't afraid to pick up the phone or knock on a door, and genuinely loves food and hospitality.

What You'll Do

Sales & Business Development

  • Proactively identify and pursue new corporate, event, and hospitality clients through cold calling, door knocking, and networking
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of existing accounts through consistent, personalized follow-up
  • Develop and execute a territory sales strategy targeting Greater Vancouver and the North Shore
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and community functions to represent the company
  • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and presentations tailored to each client's needs
  • Track all sales activity and pipeline progress using CRM tools; report regularly to ownership

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business
  • Identify upsell opportunities within existing accounts (new event types, expanded menus, larger headcounts)
  • Gather client feedback and communicate insights to the culinary and operations teams

Team Leadership

  • Manage, mentor, and support the Sales Coordinator in lead generation, quote preparation, and client follow-up
  • Set clear priorities and goals for the Sales Coordinator aligned with overall business targets

What You Bring

  • 3–5 years of B2B or hospitality sales experience, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
  • Comfortable with high-volume outreach; cold calling and door knocking are core parts of this role, not afterthoughts
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills; you're memorable and professional in person and on the phone
  • Experience managing a sales pipeline and using CRM software
  • Genuine enthusiasm for food, hospitality, and events
  • Highly self-motivated and organized—you own your numbers and your day
  • Experience in catering, food service, hospitality, or events is a strong asset
  • Valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle (some local travel required)

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary plus commission structure
  • A supportive, entrepreneurial environment with direct access to ownership
  • The opportunity to sell a premium chef-driven catering experience built on quality ingredients and exceptional service
  • Room to grow with a company that is scaling

We are an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to building an inclusive team that reflects the communities we serve.

Pay: $65,000.00-$85,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Discounted or free food
  • On-site parking

Work Location: In person
