Position Overview

seeking a skilled and reliable Station Chef (Chef de Partie) to join our production kitchen team. The Station Chef is responsible for managing a specific kitchen station during food preparation and service, ensuring all dishes are prepared to company standards, recipes, and production timelines.

Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation & Production

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to standards and production sheets
  • Manage assigned station (grill, sauté, hot line, cold prep, production)
  • Ensure consistent portioning, presentation, and quality of all dishes
  • Assist with high-volume batch cooking for functions

Kitchen Operations

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the station at all times
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation standards (Public Health regulations)
  • Assist with daily prep lists, production schedules, and event orders
  • Monitor food inventory at the station and communicate shortages.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with prep cooks, and kitchen assistants
  • Support event production timelines and delivery schedules
  • Assist with loading and packing food for off-site catering events when required

Quality Control

  • Ensure all food leaving the kitchen meets company quality standards
  • Follow standardized recipes to maintain consistency across all events
  • Properly label, store, and rotate food products (FIFO)

Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience as a Line Cook or Chef de Partie in a catering, banquet, hotel, or high-volume kitchen
  • Strong understanding of batch cooking and catering production
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen sanitation
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Culinary diploma or equivalent experience preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable working in hot kitchen environments
