Full job description

Columbus Meat Market is looking for a reliable and experienced Meat Cutter / Meat Server to join our team. This is a hands-on position in a busy Italian butcher shop. The role involves cutting, trimming, portioning, weighing, packaging, and serving a variety of fresh meat products while providing friendly and efficient service to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Cut, trim, portion, and prepare various meat products according to company standards
  • Serve customers at the meat counter and provide friendly and knowledgeable service
  • Weigh, price, package, and label products accurately
  • Prepare custom cuts and customer orders
  • Maintain proper product presentation and organization in the meat counter
  • Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Clean and sanitize knives, equipment, tools, counters, and work surfaces
  • Work efficiently to meet daily production and customer service requirements
  • Assist the butcher shop team with other duties as required

What We're Looking For

  • Reliable, punctual, and responsible
  • Comfortable working with raw meat and food products
  • Comfortable with physical and repetitive work
  • Able to stand for extended periods and lift/move products
  • Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to follow instructions and maintain attention to detail

  • Comfortable serving customers and working at a meat counter
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team

Previous experience in a butcher shop, meat cutting, meat processing, food production, kitchen, or similar environment is preferred.

Saturday availability is required.
