Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aide to join our healthcare team in. This role involves providing high-quality patient care, supporting nursing staff, and assisting with daily activities to ensure the well-being and comfort of patients. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on patients' lives. Bilingual proficiency in English and French is preferred to effectively serve diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
  • Monitor and record vital signs and patient conditions accurately
  • Support nursing staff with medication administration under supervision
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Document patient care activities using electronic health records and other documentation tools
  • Follow all safety protocols and infection control procedures
  • Provide emotional support and compassionate care to patients during their stay or treatment

Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and basic computer operation skills
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and acute care procedures
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and French (bilingual preferred)
