Full job description

Be part of something bigger in the North.

At Advanced Medical Solutions, we don’t just support healthcare, we deliver critical services to communities across Northern Canada. From air ambulance to community paramedicine, our work matters, and so do the people behind it.

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a hands-on, fast-moving environment to join our Yellowknife headquarters and support both office operations and frontline logistics.

This is a role for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and wants to be part of a team that keeps things running.

About the Role

This is a full-time, in-person role (37.5 hours/week) based at our Yellowknife headquarters near the airport.

We’re also open to flexibility in scheduling for the right candidate. If you’re looking for something slightly reduced or structured differently, we’re happy to have that conversation, there is plenty of meaningful work to shape this role.

What You’ll Be Doing

Reporting to the Manager of People, this role blends office administration, operations support, and hands-on coordination. No two days will look the same.

You’ll be responsible for:

Keeping the Office Running Smoothly

  • Managing day-to-day administrative tasks including filing, data entry, reporting, and organizing records
  • Keeping the office clean, organized, stocked, and ready for staff and visitors
  • Greeting visitors, welcoming new hires, and supporting meetings and in-office coordination

Supporting Health and Safety

  • Coordinating safety meetings and maintaining safety documentation
  • Collecting and tracking inspections across AMS locations
  • Supporting mask fit testing, training provided

Supporting Operations, HR, and Our Teams

  • Assisting with onboarding logistics, uniforms, and orientation support
  • Supporting HR presence in the office, including helping greet and welcome new hires
  • Possibly supporting timesheet coordination and basic administrative tracking
  • Assisting with internal communications and helping maintain a positive employee experience
  • Supporting company social media accounts and assisting with promotional initiatives
  • Ordering and distributing promotional items

Fleet, Facilities and Logistics

  • Coordinating vehicle maintenance and supporting fleet logistics
  • Running errands, including airport pickups, supply runs, and general support
  • Supporting crew housing including stocking, checks, and coordination

Who This Role Is Perfect For

This role is ideal for someone who:

  • Likes variety and being out from behind a desk part of the day
  • Takes pride in being organized, reliable, and proactive
  • Enjoys helping others and keeping things running smoothly
  • Is comfortable balancing administrative work with hands-on tasks
  • Wants to be part of a close-knit team in a purpose-driven organization

What You Bring

  • 1–3 years of experience in administration, operations, or a similar role
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • A valid driver’s license (required)
  • A willingness to jump in and help wherever needed

Bonus if you have experience in logistics, healthcare, or operational environments — but not required.

Why Join AMS?

  • Be part of meaningful work supporting healthcare across Northern communities
  • Work with a supportive, team-oriented group
  • Gain exposure to both office and operational environments
  • Enjoy a role where you’re trusted, valued, and relied on
  • Experience the unique lifestyle and community of Yellowknife

Interested?

If you’re someone who enjoys being the person that keeps everything moving, we’d love to hear from you.

Apply today and be part of a team that makes a real impact in the North.
