Full job description

Staff Shop is currently hiring experienced Servers for various premium Executive Dining environments in Downtown Toronto. This role is ideal for hospitality professionals with a background in corporate dining, fine dining, or banquet service who are confident delivering elevated, detail-oriented guest experiences.

This is an active hiring need for ongoing opportunities within a professional, high-standard service environment.

Position Details

  • Location: Downtown Toronto
  • Pay Rate: $20.00 – $22.00/hour (based on experience)
  • Schedule: Varies (primarily weekday corporate service with occasional events)

Responsibilities & Requirements:

● Promptly and professionally greet guests, delivering a polished and attentive service experience
● Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, following structured service standards
● Deliver food and beverages in a timely, professional manner while maintaining presentation standards
● Maintain strong knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and dietary accommodations
● Anticipate guest needs and provide proactive service throughout the dining experience
● Communicate clearly with kitchen and service teams to ensure accuracy and timing of orders
● Assist with dining room setup, reset, and maintaining a clean, organized environment
● Support with event-style service, including meetings, executive functions, and corporate dining
● Assist with dishwashing and general support duties as part of daily operations
● Maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards

Qualifications:

● Previous experience in executive dining, fine dining, or banquet service required
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a polished, professional demeanor
● Valid Smart Serve required
● Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-expectation corporate environment
● Strong attention to detail and service standards
● Physically able to stand/walk for extended periods and carry service items as needed
● Reliable, punctual, and committed to scheduled shifts

Representing Staff Shop

● Act as an ambassador of Staff Shop, maintaining professionalism, integrity, and a high standard of conduct at all times
● Deliver consistent, high-quality service that reflects both Staff Shop and client expectations
● Present a polished appearance and positive attitude in all client-facing interactions
● Follow all client site rules, service standards, and team leadership direction
● Communicate respectfully and effectively with team members, clients, and guests

Compensation & Compliance

The hourly wage rate for this position is $20.00 – $22.00. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, and client requirements. Staff Shop is committed to fair and competitive compensation and complies with applicable pay transparency legislation.

Canadian work experience is not required; however, relevant hospitality experience is expected.
