Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Italian food and a commitment to providing high-quality meal preparation in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our guests enjoy delicious and safe meals while adhering to food safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
  • Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety and handling regulations.
  • Assist in the planning of menus and meal preparation, considering dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
  • Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a banquet kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred, with a focus on meal preparation and cooking techniques.
  • Knowlegde of Italian cuisine.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures is essential.
  • Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures within the food industry.
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a busy kitchen environment.
  • A passion for cooking and creativity in meal presentation are highly valued.
