Restaurant Manager

About Night Owl

Night Owl Kitchen + Bar is one of British Columbia's fastest-growing hospitality brands. In under a year, we have opened five locations across the Lower Mainland, and we are not slowing down. Our reputation is built on premium locations, standout cocktails, and food that keeps guests coming back, all delivered with a consistently high level of service from location to location.

Our Restaurant Managers have the opportunity to significantly increase their earnings through performance-based incentives tied directly to location sales and overall success. The better you lead, the stronger your team performs, and the more you grow the business, the more you can earn.

This is a true ownership-minded leadership opportunity for someone who wants their effort, standards, and results to directly impact their compensation.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for leaders who treat every shift like it represents the brand, because it does. If you take pride in a polished room, a sharp team, and food and drinks that consistently exceed expectations, you will fit right in here.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead one of our locations. This is a front-of-house focused role, but it demands a full understanding of how the back of house operates and how the two work together to deliver a seamless guest experience. You will own the floor, build and develop the team, protect our brand standards, and drive sales through great service and accountability.

This is not a seat-warming management job. We want someone driven, someone who holds people to a high bar (including themselves), and someone who sees a problem and fixes it rather than waiting for direction. In return, we offer real growth alongside a brand that is scaling, along with performance incentives tied to the results you deliver.

What You'll Own

Front of House Leadership

- Run the floor with presence and command, setting the tone for service, pace, and energy every shift.

- Deliver an elevated dining experience that reflects the Night Owl standard from the moment a guest walks in to the moment they leave.

- Be the face of the location for guests, resolving issues on the spot and turning problems into loyalty.

Hiring, Training, and Team Development

- Recruit, hire, and onboard front-of-house staff who reflect our values and service expectations.

- Train your team to our standards and keep them sharp through ongoing coaching, not one-time orientation.

- Hold people accountable, fairly and consistently, so the whole team rises to the same level.

Brand Standards and Quality

- Maintain Night Owl brand standards across service, presentation, cleanliness, and atmosphere with zero compromise.

- Understand and uphold back-of-house standards, working closely with kitchen leadership to ensure food quality, consistency, and timing meet the bar we set.

- Ensure every detail, from plating to table presentation to the guest greeting, is on brand and on point.

Driving Sales and Growth

- Grow location sales through strong service, a well-run team, and a consistently great guest experience.

- Hit and exceed sales targets, with performance incentives available for managers who meet and surpass thresholds.

- Actively grow and protect our online reputation, including driving Google reviews and maintaining brand image in the community.

Operations and Administration

- Build and manage staff schedules to match coverage with demand while controlling labour costs.

- Handle cash management, including tills, floats, daily reconciliation, deposits, and reporting.

- Manage day-to-day operations, ordering, inventory, and floor execution to keep the location running efficiently and profitably.

- Oversee the administrative side of the role, including payroll inputs, timekeeping, incident reporting, and compliance with health, safety, and liquor regulations.

- Work hand in hand with the brand to ensure standards, systems, and processes are followed and the location keeps growing in the right direction.

- Lead by example on integrity, respect, and accountability at every level.

Who We're Looking For

- Proven experience managing in the restaurant or hospitality industry, ideally in an elevated or full-service setting.

- A real understanding of what guests want and how to consistently deliver it.

- Strong working knowledge of both front-of-house and back-of-house operations.

- A natural leader who can hire, train, motivate, and hold a team accountable.

- Sales-minded, with a track record of growing revenue through service and execution.

- Driven, with integrity and respect at the core of how you operate.

- A natural problem solver who is always willing to learn and get better.

Why Night Owl

- Performance-based incentives for managers who deliver results.

- The chance to grow with an expanding BC brand.

- A leadership role where your standards and your work directly shape the location.

Night Owl Kitchen + Bar is an equal opportunity employer. We thank all applicants for their interest; only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
