Full job description

At the Sydney, we are looking for a Hotel Front Desk Agent to serve as our guests with a passion for customer service and hospitality, ensuring our guests enjoy a satisfying.

Hotel Front Desk Agent responsibilities include registering guests, managing reservations and providing information about rooms, rates and amenities. If you have a knack for customer service and work experience in the hotel industry, we’d like to meet you!

Requirements for the role -

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Customer service skills, outgoing personality
  • Team player, ability to work collaboratively with other staff
  • Task-driven individual
  • Proficient in English (oral/ written), Bilingual is an asset
  • Front Desk/ Customer Service experience is an asset
  • Basic bookkeeping
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Flexible schedule
  • Knowledge in Microsoft & Excel
  • Excellent at multitasking

Responsibilities -

  • Register & direct guests to their assigned rooms
  • Accommodate guest requests
  • Communicate with hotel staff on the status of guest rooms
  • Upselling guest rooms and promoting hotel services
  • Schedule services for guests
  • Recommendation for guests’ trips
  • Handling debit machine /cash payments
  • Maintain a clean and neat front desk area
  • Work under minimal supervision
  • Can multitask many duties
  • Make on-the-spot decisions
  • Dealing with guest issues and complaints
  • Handling phone and email bookings

Note: Candidates applying for this position are encouraged to have experience with social media and online presence, as they will be asked to help maintain regular updates with our facebook and Instagram accounts.
