Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction and woodworking, demonstrating proficiency in various carpentry techniques. This role involves working on diverse projects, from residential renovations to commercial builds, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Duties

  • Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
  • Utilize power tools and hand tools for cutting, shaping, and joining materials.
  • Perform flooring installation and other finishing work to enhance the aesthetic appeal of spaces.
  • Execute caulking tasks to seal joints and gaps for weatherproofing.
  • Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project timelines are met.
  • Engage in construction estimating to assess material needs and project costs.
  • Fabricate custom pieces as required for specific projects.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Carpenter or in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CNC machinery is advantageous for fabrication tasks.
  • Ability to read blueprints accurately and execute plans effectively.
  • Proficiency in using various power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor for extended periods.
