Full job description

Labourer

2302 Rd 125, St. Marys, ON N4X 1C9, Canada

The Opportunity:
If you’re mechanically inclined, comfortable working with tools, and enjoy building equipment that’s used across Canada’s agricultural sector, this role is a solid fit. At All‑Equip/Platinum Trailers, Labourers play a key part in bringing our trailers to life — installing components, running wiring, fitting parts, and working hands‑on with the team to complete full trailer builds. You’ll work both independently and alongside experienced fabricators, contributing directly to the quality and reliability our customers expect.

Work Arrangement:

Full‑Time, Fully On‑site, Monday to Friday, day shift depending on production needs. This is hands‑on assembly work in a busy manufacturing environment.

Compensation:
This is a hourly position paying $20-$26/hr depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package including Extended Health Care, Dental, and RRSP contributions. Overtime is available for those who want it.

About Us:
All-Equip is a family-owned manufacturer with a genuine entrepreneurial spirit: if it moves, hauls, or solves a problem in the transportation sector, we’ll find a way to build it. Founded in 2011, we’ve grown into a recognized leader in both trailer manufacturing and heavy equipment repair and service, and it’s that repair experience that gives us a real edge. We’ve seen what fails in the field, what holds up under pressure, and what the competition consistently gets wrong. That knowledge is baked into everything we do.

The Role:
As an Labourer, you’ll work hands‑on installing components, running wiring, fitting parts, and helping complete full trailer builds. You’ll follow drawings, work with hand tools, and collaborate with other team members to ensure each trailer meets our quality standards. You’ll also support general shop tasks and contribute to keeping production moving smoothly.
In a typical week, you’ll assemble parts, install components, run wiring according to drawings, work both independently and with teammates, and help build Platinum Trailers from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble parts and install components according to drawings and instructions.
  • Run wiring and lines following pre‑drawings and layout requirements.
  • Work both independently and as part of a team to complete trailer builds.
  • Assemble Platinum Trailers Grain trailers and support related fabrication tasks.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Follow production priorities and complete tasks on schedule.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all PPE and safety requirements.
  • Communicate clearly with leads and team members regarding job status and issues.

What We Offer:
  • Full‑time, year‑round work, Monday to Friday (Days).
  • Extended Health Care and Dental benefits.
  • RRSP plan.
  • Bi‑weekly direct deposit.
  • Overtime available for those who want it.

Career Path:
All-Equip is a growing manufacturing operation, and we promote from within wherever we can. A Labourer who show strong mechanical ability, reliability, and initiative can grow into roles such as Senior Assembler, Fabrication Technician, or other production positions as the company expands. We promote from within wherever possible.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • MUST have a valid Canadian work permit.
  • Mechanically inclined — comfortable working with tools and equipment.
  • Experience with hand tools and power tools required.
  • Ability to follow drawings and instructions.
  • Comfortable working independently and with a team.
  • Physically capable of working in a fast‑paced shop environment.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Detail‑oriented with a quality‑first mindset.
  • Commitment to safe work practices and proper PPE use.

Education & Certifications:
  • Mechanical or technical experience is an asset.
  • Related trade training is helpful but not required.
