Company Overview

Haliburton Forest is a renowned company dedicated to sustainable forest management, ecological research, and ecotourism. With a diverse range of activities including lumber production, land management, and recreational experiences, we are committed to environmental responsibility and community engagement.

Summary

We are seeking a Forest Technician to join our Forest Management team at Haliburton Forest in Ontario. This vital role supports our mission of ecological integrity and sustainable resource use by assisting with silvicultural strategies, logging operations, and scientific research on our expansive 100,000-acre property.

Responsibilities

On-site training on herbicide application techniques (primarily cut-stump application and “drill and fill”), and tree marking, will be provided. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the Silviculture Forester, and in addition to the described work will also gain exposure to a variety of operational issues surrounding forest management. We are seeking applicants with an independent mindset, who show initiative, and can manage their time well. Lodging at Bone Lake Research Camp at Haliburton Forest will be provided.
