Eyes Daycare is seeking a dedicated and experienced Daycare Supervisor to lead our childcare center with excellence, integrity, and a strong commitment to quality early learning.

If you have Daycare Supervisor experience of two years or more this job is for you.

Daycare Supervisor – Roles and Responsibilities

- Recruitment of qualified staff

- Parent and Family Engagement

- Administration and Compliance

- Program Planning and Curriculum Support

- Professional Development

  • Remain up to date with evolving practices and research in early childhood education through professional training, workshops, and industry learning opportunities.
  • Encourage and support continuous professional growth among team members.

- Budget and Resource Management

- Conflict Resolution and Problem Solving

  • Address and resolve conflicts among staff, parents, or children in a professional and constructive manner.
  • Promote a positive, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a licensed childcare setting.
  • Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) designation and membership in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
  • Current CPR and Standard First Aid Certification.
  • Up-to-date immunizations, or the ability to provide a notarized Statement of Conscience or Religious Belief for exemption.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Toronto Children’s Services and familiarity with related procedures and requirements.
  • Vulnerable Sector Police Check dated within the last 6 months, or willingness to obtain one.
  • Strong knowledge of the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA), How Does Learning Happen?, and the Child Care Licensing Manual.
  • Familiarity with the City of Toronto AQI assessment tool and Every Child Belongs framework.
  • Understanding of Toronto Public Health Guidance for Child Care Settings.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting or budgeting principles is considered an asset.
  • Valid Ontario Driver’s License and access to a vehicle would be considered an asset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00-$31.00 per hour
