Medical Office Assistant (MOA) – Family Practice

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our busy family practice clinic. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a family or general practice setting and be comfortable managing both administrative and clinical responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer and manage phone calls, voicemails, and patient inquiries in a professional and timely manner
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments
  • Process and manage incoming referrals and faxes efficiently
  • Coordinate patient follow-ups and relay test results
  • Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Greet and check in patients, verify demographic and insurance information
  • Prepare exam rooms and assist physicians with routine in-office procedures
  • Ensure exam rooms are clean, organized, and properly stocked
  • Process requisitions for imaging, labs, and other diagnostic services
  • Maintain patient privacy and ensure compliance with confidentiality standards
  • Support front desk operations, billing inquiries, and document scanning/faxing
  • Monitor and maintain office and medical supply inventory

Qualifications & Skills:

✔ Previous experience in a family practice or general medical clinic required
✔ MOA certification is an asset
✔ Strong multitasking, organizational, and time management skills
✔ Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
✔ Experience with OSCAR EMR is required
✔ Working knowledge of general medical terminology
