  • Pay Rate: $20.50 per hour - $22.50 per hour, depending on job responsibilities

A DAY IN THE LIFE

Building relationships with clients is the most important and rewarding responsibility you will have as a Home Instead Caregiver, Care Professional. You will do this by assisting with a variety of home care services, such as:

  • Companionship and conversation
  • Advocating for their needs
  • Light housekeeping and meal preparation
  • Reminding clients about medications and appointments
  • Running errands and accompanying clients to appointments
  • Assisting with grooming, bathing, toileting, and incontinence care
  • Providing person-centered care for clients with Alzheimer’s and Dementia


ESSENTIALS

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle to transport clients to appointments and run errands
  • Must be willing to work in all service locations, and in various settings such as a client’s home, care facilities, hospitals, etc.
  • Must have open availability throughout the week, including at least one weekend day
  • Must be comfortable with fluctuating hours and income, as hours are not guaranteed and may vary based on client needs
  • Must be willing to work with clients who may be ill with communicable diseases such as COVID-19, seasonal flu, or colds, and with clients with a wide range of needs including companionship, personal care, Alzheimer’s, and Dementia care

TRAINING
