The Customer Service & Sales Representative (CSSR) reports directly to the Branch Manager or designate. The CSSR is the first point of contact with customers and is a cannabis subject matter expert. The CSSR builds relationships to create loyal customers who trust the opinions and judgement of our CSSR team.

This position has 7-14 hours available to start and requires availability evenings and weekends.

The CSSR must be eager to share their knowledge of cannabis products and achieve sales objectives through this passion.

Safety and Security

Follows all store operations, cash handling, and safe workplace policies.

Operations

Ensures an exceptional customer experience through the execution of established service procedures;

Shared product knowledge with other staff as applicable;

Ensures the retail environment is clean, welcoming, and well stocked.

Sales and Service

Is the first point of contact for customers entering stores;

Develops customer relationships by providing exceptional customer service bolstered by knowledge of product selection and suitability

Shares cannabis knowledge with customers as an integral part of the sales process;

Utilizes thorough cannabis knowledge including information around cultivation methods, product types, strains, consumption methods, and potential effects of use.

Works toward the achievement of sales targets;

CSSRs are responsible for adhering to all applicable SOPs.

Qualifications

• Have some familiarity with the cannabis industry including federal, provincial, and municipal regulations etc.
• Ability to work during store’s operational hours.
• Possesses current Selling It Right Certificate
• Successful candidates will have already completed their Selling It Right Certification
• You’re committed to exceptional customer service and a great work environment
• You act with integrity and exercise excellent judgement
• You're knowledgeable about the cannabis industry including federal, provincial, and municipal regulations etc.
• You have extraordinary communication and relationship building skills, are enthusiastic, reliable and eager to achieve goals.
• Previous Customer Service Experience in a retail environment and extensive cannabis knowledge is an asset though a desire to learn is most essential

Work Environment

CSSRS work predominantly in customer facing roles interacting with the public. They participate in keeping the store clean, may need to occasionally use a ladder and will be required to lift objects of up to 22 kg. The role involves standing, bending at the waist, and walking back and forth for the duration of the shift.

• Monday to Friday
• Night shift
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• Cannabis Sales: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Cannsell (required)
