We are currently seeking a motivated, relationship-driven sales professional to join our growing Canadian sales team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys agriculture, customer relationships, and business development while working independently in the field.

In addition to a competitive base salary, this position offers an attractive commission structure with strong earning potential tied directly to your success in growing the territory and building customer relationships.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Canadian Sales Manager, the Territory Sales Representative will be responsible for achieving business growth targets through strategic territory management, customer development, and regular on-site visits with growers and greenhouse operations.

The successful candidate will build long-term, profitable customer relationships while representing the Stokes Seeds brand with professionalism and expertise. This role also plays an important part in product evaluation and field trials, helping identify innovative varieties and solutions for the marketplace.

Work Location

The ideal candidate will reside in Southwestern Ontario (Windsor to London corridor).

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the sales and service of Stokes Seeds products within the assigned territory
  • Drive territory growth by developing new business opportunities and expanding existing customer relationships
  • Collaborate with the Sales Manager to strengthen the customer base, support existing growers, and attract new customers
  • Establish, maintain, and collect data from product trials
  • Conduct field evaluations of pre-commercial products and identify suitable market opportunities within the territory
  • Work with breeder-producer suppliers to identify new products and emerging marketplace opportunities
  • Represent Stokes Seeds at industry events including tradeshows, field days, and sales meetings
  • Support the brokering of vegetative cuttings to greenhouse customers within the territory
  • Maintain expense budgets aligned with regional objectives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in sales and marketing
  • Experience within the vegetable seed industry considered a strong asset
  • Agricultural background and understanding of commercial produce production preferred
  • Basic understanding of the growing, packing, and marketing of commercial produce
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
  • Proven ability to build strong customer relationships and maintain long-term partnerships
  • Professional, self-motivated, and confident with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills with the ability to identify customer needs, develop solutions, and close opportunities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Comfortable utilizing technology to enhance sales effectiveness and customer service
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly within the territory
